sounds good mate cant wait for pics. as for rims depends on what u like chrome / dish look / genuine holden/hsv wheels IMO sigs on statesmans look fkn nuts some ppl might think there over done but still look a great . u could try the holden 20" Super Sports or VE SS V 19" wheels personal choice in the end but =)
everyone in melbourne thinks sigs look nuts... theyre on every second commodore and statesman down there... try find something that noone or hardly anyone has... will make your car stand out from the rest
cant wait for pics mate. will be good to see. im going to buy one for myself. going this arvo to look at a 5 litre vr caprice.
Sigs on the white do look nice refer to Jecs' barge. I dont think factory lsd came on s2 caprice. Nice km's on it too. very low. Good luck, i look forward to pics.
yeh i was thinking sigs but then i think it would look identical to jec's car lol also thought about the ssv's aswell not sure if the supersports would look that good with the skinnier spokes, not after chrome or dish either really, yeh it was the one on ebay mate he lived about 2 mins from my house seen the car driving around with the for sale sign on it gave him a call n he wanted ten and a half but i got him down to eight seven. sorry fellas no pics taken today, and im going away for work for about 6 days so i dare say il have the bags in by the time the pics get taken as they should be here on friday so they'l be here ready to install when i get back
still no pics but got most of the bags for the rear done today, ran all the lines wires and fitted everything besides the bags, tried for an hour to get one of the springs out but wasnt happening, would anyone be able to help me out by telling me how to remove the irs springs? seems alot harder then the old solid axle springs lol. get some pics up tonight
hey mate how much did your rear bags setup cost? does it include compressor etc. or do you pump them up? also it looks tough as. even on small wheels cheers mate
$1315.00 delivered to my door from tubular suspension mate, and they are pumped by compressor and a tank with the switches up front as you can see in the pics install was fairly easy running airlnes n wires only problems i had was ramoving irs springs as my old car as live axle lol. this is them fully up
is that the in boot tank setup? im looking to get something similar but ive been reading for a rear only setup you can fit it under the car. hoping to be able to do that.
you could probably fit it under the car, but statesmans as you know have massive boots and the tank and comp are only small so it leaves heaps of room and the comp aint that noisy and isnt on very much if you arnt continuosly going up n down. this is my setup atm want to clean it up a bit
awesome man. thats definitely something im looking into doing in the future. just have to make up a couple of alloy skid pans to make sure it doesnt get caught on anything. i could fit it in the boot. but now that i have a boot and not lpg tank. id prefer to keep it usable.
haha yeh the lowest point is a plastic bit coming off the fuel tank and it sits about 30mm off the ground but its a very rough ride with no air in the bags lol at about 25-30 psi its only about 20mm higher and a decent ride if you dont hit any decent potholes etc
haha yeh il have to get some decent pics taken on the weekend, probably get the front lowered on ultra lows aswell on the w.e had no time to doit lately as ive been working away and spent most of the weekend installing bags and only drivn it for about 30mins with the bags in since sunday arvo lol, still looking for rims dont know weather to go black or alloy, sigs or 19's or 20's etc
whats everyones thoughts on these 20's with tyres new for 1900 il either be going them 19 or 20" sigs or ve gts style, if some one wants to photoshop them onto my car i would love it if you did
