modal number decoder vk

i brought this vk shell and have been trying to chase up about it and identify wat it was becous it was completly empty and i cant seem to find a decoder on this website that tells me the info i want to no so i figured some vk fan would

anyway the tags read as

modal: VK8VL19-233
body no. :167272-a
trim: 1959-15p
paint: 1k 001-d
build: may 85
ENG: LV2 TRANS: M40 AXLE: GU4

any info would be much appreciated thanks

sweet thanks mate how do you decode them and do you think i will need to get an engineers cert for putting an rb30 into it

Yep, it would have to be engineered to be legal.

233, 2 meaning Berlina, 3 for V8 and 3 for 3 speed auto. Also LV2 denotes for a 304 V8.

And it would be backwards putting a RB30 into a V8 car.

I do it from my head, know me numbers Only VB-VKs though
