Moderators MIA? Recent (or not so recent) changes in the mod team?

Compared to a couple of years ago, I've noticed that there hasn't been the same moderator presence, which is probably a sign that people are behaving themselves more and that the forum's running more efficiently.

I've also noticed the promotion of one (or maybe more?) members to the mod team including immortality - congrats. Have other members stepped away from the role, or are they still monitoring the forums in the background?

Not that any of this matters, I've just been curious

Yes , I've noticed that too , haven't heard from a few moderators , I know they have proper jobs and so on , one thing is that it seems that inappropriate language seems to be on the rise , where as before the swear filter blocked it, not that it bothers me , just something I've noticed , also a drop off in trolling , which can't be bad at alll .

Just looked at the swear filter, completely disabled after the upgrade which you had pointed out.

Will sort that out.

Life gets in the way which is only normal, some stepped down others vanished.

Good to see a kiwi amongst the moderators , are you going to give him the same rights as the Australian moderators , or be like the Aussie PM ( I kid obviously ) and make him pay for being one .

Just looked at the swear filter, completely disabled after the upgrade which you had pointed out.

Is there a way to disable it for certain sections? Or, more to the point is it something that can be turned back off in Chatbox?

Yep I would say it's because the forums calmed down a lot now.
