Hahahahahahahaha love it

Really interested to see this.

Does it need engineering at all due to the changes?

You can buy kits for them.

Only raise it cos if you go changes which are not to specifications, like you did it might need a engineering cert.

Eg, cop pulls you over and does a check on car and sees it then can be issues if no cert and or comes time for rego checks.

Only asking cos i know guys whom do work, like adding non spec stuff to cars and engines and need to see engineers.

Food for thought

moving the head unit to be where the climate controls where, climate controls moved to where the head unit was

Nice job on that.
I was considering a head unit for the old man's Commodore Wagon (we upgraded his VT to VX power windows, passenger and side airbags and traction control..... but it was easier to change the entire car LoL)

The problem with putting a head unit with reversing screen and GPS was it is tooooo low and he cannot see it, unless tilting his head, moving his left hand/arm etc. Car ends up moving to the left.

You have done what should have been designed from the beginning. Good job.

In reference to the suggestion that a mod plate might be required, yes.

But that only applies to stuff that wasn't available as a factory option.

The electric power steering is a mod that a lot of guys do to their cars. It is a good mod.
There are some cars that can leak PS fluid onto alternators or aircon compressors, so it is definitely a safety upgrade in my mind, but what does a car insurance company think when they are looking for any excuse to deny a claim to pay out to the other insurer of a really expensive car.

Hi
Checking out with the insurance company now.
May take a few days.

Good luck man

Interesting to see it as well when you have the time for pics and to hear about the insurance and engineering cert if needed

Hi
Been told it doesn't from a mechanic.
Another mechanic said l might have to have engineered.
Also got my insurance co. checking it out.
I'll ask a engineer what l need to do, to be legal. If to much bullshit l can always go back to standard.
Sorry about the mess, when trying to upload photos, kept saying file was to big.
And can't or l don't know how to to delete the files.
Here is some pics. Not much to see.

Hi
I hadn't heard from the insurance Co. so l rang them.
All good, its legal, no engineering certificates needed.
We are talking about a pump, not a Merlin v12 engine going into a mini (ha ha ha just having a joke).
Got around to fitting the Craig Davies electric water pump (ewp 130)

with controller. Seems ok. Still checking it out.
Didn't want use my blue hoses, so l still had the old black ones & used them. Just in case l cut them in the wrong place.
Hacked up a couple of old water pumps l had lying around, working out what l could do with them, as in a header. I just cut of the impeller blades on the back of pump. So l'm using the pump pulley with original belt. With no load from the pump (except bearing load) The engineers will know what l mean.
When l put the electric power steering pump on, l noticed the car had a lot more get up & go & lot better on fuel consumption. Haven't noticed any difference with the electric water pump. I believe it will make a difference.

the electric water pump is meant to pump water round the block until the thermostat opens.

the way you have it won't do much as it's pumping water into the rad. Thermostat is still closed most of the time
