Correct, grill & bonnet is of a wh caprice. The bottom part of the bumper is from a vx ss.
I got both bumpers for nothing (saved them from the tip). Bought the bonnet & grill. The bonnet & grill have not been altered, nor will they, except for paint.

If you can plastiweld, you should weld part of a VE SV6 bumper in with the fog lights.

If your referring to me, the place for the fog lights are already there.

I was considering welding in the vf calais grill (l think it was, the the vf calais) . Wasn't sure it would fit.
Then the wh caprice bonnet & grill came up (with the bumper & a few other parts), which was my original intention.

The vx ss bumper was a mess when l got it. There are some parts of it were ground done in the crash it was involved in (nothing to do with me) & don't exist. So l'm cutting some of the old bumper (wh) out, & making the part. Wont be perfect, but it will do.

I've seen a few threads where people have asked can you fit a vf steering wheel on Commodore that is earlier than vf?
The shaft sizes are different. As the vf shaft has a larger diameter. Vt to ve is the same diameter.

Earlier in the year l took 2 shafts down to the engineer. One was vt made from an alloy, the other was a vy made from steel. Both shafts had the same diameters but with different size center bolts. vy is the same as vf. The vt is smaller.

I showed the 2 shafts to the engineer, he preferred to cut down the vt shaft, as there would be more wall thickness than if he cut down vy.
If he had cut down the vy shaft, it would have had the same wall thickness as the vf shaft.

I've been waiting to take it to an engineer for certification (l'll call it mod plating here , so you know what l'm talking about).

So far l have the steering lock working (wasn't working till l changed the ignition), l have the horn working(that was easy fix) Today l got buttons on the right side working. Once l worked out the wiring. It was an easy fix.

So, l still have the airbag to figure out & the indicator cancellation to work out.

I think the vf steering wheel looks good on the old vt.

I've still got some wiring to do before l put it back together.
I've also got work out where to put the traction control & power buttons.
As well as wire up the paddle shifter & program the tcu. But l'm slowly getting there.:)

Will the airbags be operational?
