Just picked up my 2011 series 2 sv6 with only 20000kms on the clock, it's got a k and n radiator installed and an xforce quad tip catback system (going to get the full system) was just wondering what mods to do to increase power so I can shut my VW loving mate the #### up!

supercharger or turbo, that's pretty much the only things to do on a V6 to make somewhat decent power.

and because i have to say this as it is now a JC by-law, Sell the Sv6 and buy a SS :p

How fast you go depends on how deep your pockets are.

Mace insulators work really well for little money, so perhaps start there. If you're willing to spend a bit of money, go high flow cats, a CAI and tune. Going up in diff ratio will also make a big difference.

Search the other 100s of V6 threads but basically forced induction is a must. You can do a fully built NA but it's not worth the coin.

200 rwkw is achievable with just bolt ons and an Under drive kit, but for maximum fun boost is required.

Absolutely shits me when as usual, one of the first replies is for the op to buy a V8.

Why is this so? Don't you think that there might have been a reason for purchasing a v6? Not everyone wants the extra costs of a V8, maybe even the op bought the v6 for a very good price. Who knows. But the question is, what mods can be done to increase power for a V6. I don't see how buying a v8 is relevant.

That comment was tongue in cheek, and a bit of a stab at the way this forum operates (most of the time).
I wouldn't think anything of it, as that comment wasn't legit.

How much power are you looking for, or your budget?

May be tongue in cheek, but as I said, buying a v8 is not an answer to the question asked. Reason is, I've asked similar questions ages ago with my old vy and I received similar responses.

There was a perfect response to the question. A supercharger or turbo kit would be the best option, make the most power and actually make the car relatively fast.
