    Hey Guys,

Need some help on finding, purchasing and installing a monaro bonnet (dual flutes) on my VZ SV6. I am wanting to know where in Melbourne I can get this bonnet either genuine or aftermarket supplied, painted and fitted.

    Please help
    Dave

i had the local holden garage (in WA)offer to fit the monaro bonnet etc and modify the plastics around the wiper blades to VX specs to suit the bonnet.and line me up with a panel beater to paint it.

i wouldn't be concerned with the plastics around the wipers, what about the headlights and front grill being totally different

along the head lights its fine, either side of the grille, (which leads up to the two bonnet lines on the standard vz bonnet) is the bit you have to worry about, they stick out futher then vt based monaro bonnet, which will look shyte,

You could do what naf33n did and graft the nostrils onto a VZ bonnet

There is a genuine monaro bonnet kit available from all holden dealers. I will post the part number up tommorow. Its at work, its isnt cheap tho around 1800 but its genuine and steel not fiberglass like the cheaper alternatives and you know everything will fit properly. Should go straight onto a VZ SV6. Will post rrp up tomorrow.

thats what we have been talking about, it wont line up with the bumper properly and look ****, have a close look at a vz bonnet, then have a look at a monaro bonnet, the front edge is different,

if you put a standard monaro bonnet on a vz sedan, there will be gaps and bits sticking out, YES IT WILL BOLT ON BUT THE FRONT EDGE OF THE BONNET WONT LINE UP PROPERLY

oh and there is no difference between the cv8 and cv8z bonnet
