A better photo of the photo

Shame the v2 monaro is not black !!! or that I didn't buy a red ( last choice ) one!!!!
My second ever car a HT Monaro GTS in this colour( in the photo), ( mine was just missing a bit of size and 2 cylinders !!!!).
And since before a photo ( on this thread),of me with the last ever RAAF Deeper Maintenance Hornet( not that I really can say I work on).

Yeah / nah not cashing in super.
I would rather roll into another job almost straight away but!!!
I'm getting a pretty decent redundancy = so can enjoy some down time and hopefully do some lower cost pojects.

No F35 work yet ?

There's a little bit but I'm not with that company.
The 3 businesses are supposedly talking to each other to keep skills in the area but the timing is just not going to work.
Have heard ( and it sounds about right) 3 years before F35 is in full swing maintenance wise.
There will be a ramp up over that time frame.
More will be made redundant at the end of the year.
We're not all going to be able to just walk in over the road unfortunately.

Because stated here before + thanks to a good mate( after 6 weeks ), on Monday start a reasonably local contract job
2 defintly, hopefully 3 days a week , company will pay over night stay ( a bonus )
Missus kept saying how much, I eveually

gave in and told her= her reaction = holy Fxxk = her being in health/ aged care= no where near this .
Also didn't have the heart to say as a trade supervisor with Boeing Defence was on slightly more as an hourly rate and a permeant employee.

The club cruise that was going to happen a month month ago happened yesterday.
Overcast in the morning but got better as the day progressed.

So got to have a bit of fun in the monaro.

Cruise down the m1 to the hawkesbury river , then onto the old Pacific hwy up to the Pie in the Sky at Cowan.
Did the old Pacific hwy to Gosford before getting back on the m1 on the way back = point and squirt in between corners .

Lots of bikes out. Not surprised
I did this nice winding ride/drive at least once a week in the 90s and early this century when I lived in Sydney , = Hornsby and Hills district.
Rarely in cars was virtually always bikes ( mid week the best for rideing= shift work , weekends better for social.
The speed limit was half reasonable then too 80kmph , now 60.
Back in the 80s when I had my CX500 and Moto Guzzi Le Mans it was 100kmph
There's a couple of corners that can catch you out but could comfortably take virtually every corner at 100 just cruising at a fast enjoyable pace= not being stupid.

But unfortunately there are/ were stupid that took big risks soo other stupid changed limits.

Opps rant,, anyway a great day , great company.
Some nice 4 wheels. A modern Ferrari , 2 Mark 3 E type Jags= unfortunately didn't take photos when arriving and gone later

This Ford F100 in the club is fantastic, realy nice slite custom rear ( which l get to torment you because I thought I took a photo and I didn't).

A Fiat 600 arbarth. Which I'm guessing Arbarth took out to 695cc

Bikes!!

This Indian a supurb custom = soo clean and neat.
Talking to the owner he finished the build about 8 years ago.
It looked like he'd riden it off the showroom floor that morning.

The club I joined does a park up the last Saturday of every month.
I took the Maloo last month so the monaro got a run yesterday.
Another big turn out.

There's way more Facebook members than actual financial members

It's held at a BP with one of these fast an fresh eat in cafes ( they're a club sponsor).
A big big car park up the back so plenty of room.
Club can't be doing too bad = talking of hiring some portable flood lighting for next months.

All around the perimeter at the back = no lights.
