More than one water pump type for 5L?

    A little over 10 years ago I bought a water pump for the 253 VH I had. Got it home and all pulled apart and then found there are 2 different types of pump for Holden V8s. I think one stuck out further than the other. Now has come the time to do the water pump on the 304 VP. Is there only one pump type on them? How do I know I have the right one? (before I take it home from the shop, that is).

    yep, 2 pumps short and long versions. just tell the supplier the model year and they should give you the correct pump

    Short = Pre VH 253/308
