Vk commodore, hq one tonner, hj ute,
There's a magnet on the arm upper of my articulated desk lamp.

It isn't a particularly strong magnet, it's just one of those cheap flexible rubbery deals.

There's nothing on the magnet. It's meant to be an adhesive-backed magnet for some sort of junk-mail flyer calendar that I threw away.

The calendar had coupons on it that weren't for anything I'd buy.

So now the blank white adhesive covering of this cheapass magnet is staring me in the face.

I want to put something on it, to fill this magnet's potential for being, but I'm just not interested enough.

Oh, and my coffee mug is empty.

...cool story

sooooo?

whats it look like? i would ask in your stato thread, but im not cool enough to go in there.

It looks red, and don't you mean you're not out-dated enough to go into my stato thread? I thought that thing was sleeping with the fishes off the back of page ten :p

Today I stumbled onto eBay and accidentally a welder.

Then I jumped into the car and drove almost to Moe to pick it up.

Nozzle and tip are in good condition, still on the first (full sized) spool of wire the bloke ever rigged up. It appears to have been incredibly well looked after - it's not even all that dusty on the inside.

An absolute bargain as far as I can see - I tested it briefly when I got home, and it does neat, reasonably-controlable welds without gas, using the mild steel wire - I can only imagine how well it runs with gas and some practice :) I'm stoked. Absolutely stoked. Best buy since I found that chocolate was on special.

Morton - it has to be a smiley face for the magnet. (in black felt tip pen) Medium stoke in crisp lines

Oh - and nice accidently welder too :)
