2.30am on a week night, after seven hours in a shed, inhaling paint fumes and brake cleaner.

Just be grateful they're not on fire in the picture.

I woke up this morning, Blew my nose. An it was a mixture of red & silver.

P.S- I think the timing cover is a little well done from the BBQ, Not so much silver anymore lol

Ahh, that's better. Sometimes i regret not painting the motor in my ute chev orange or rocket red, mine is just black. Mabye next time.

Nice work Morton.

It came up soo much better than we expected as well!

For what it's worth I think that's an excellent idea - give that element of finer detail and make the package look that little more 'thought out'.

I concur. Will have a go after I give the paint a quick bake.

Which raises an issue.

How do you bake paint on the engine, without running the motor?

Well, here's one way:

You can also use floodlight lamps the same way. I have baked my engine covers by making a box out of MDF and covering it with foil. With 2 lights the metal got so hot I burnt my finger touching it.
