i was reading a article in one of the motoring mags regarding holden naming its limited edition motorsport.
it stated that holden wanted to call it bathurst edition at first but came to the conclusion in the world we live in now that it was too blokey and decided on the motorsport instead.
the mag was just holdens,
i think holden got it right motorsport sounds a better choice to me than bathurst any thoughts views bathurst or motorsport naming

I think Motorsport is the better choice but I don't see how it is any less blokey than Bathurst.

I can understand Bathurst but its too specific. My opinion is that Motorsport is a much better name for a car, more broadly appealing.

If it was to be named something like 'Bathurst Special' it would have to have been raced at Bathurst in my opinion.

Motorsport sounds good without implying it's something it's not.

I can’t see that either Bathurst or Motorsport make any difference to the number of sales, the achievable sale price, or the image of Holden.

Smells like marketing people justifying their coke budget, to me.

I would still have been happy if it had no stickers at all.

I love my stripes. I've earned them! Stripes and blackouts go hand in hand with muscle cars. Aussie or US.
Motorsport monika? Initially I was disappointed it was an easily identifiable Brock name. Like Magnum and Director. But the more I thought about it, the more I felt Motorsport encapsulated all things Brock and Holden. Bathurst included. I wouldn't change it now. It's a great name.
I agree with 5.0 too, it's blokey AF;)
