Hiya Dave - I could still do yours that way if you like, just a matter of altering the wiring a little from the button we mounted in your console. You could either leave the old button in there, or fill the hole with a 16mm trim plug. Ah, damn - I forgot to send those updated sub box plans to you too, didn't I??? Brace yer inbox Mate, on the way as soon as I've posted this.
Aperfectcircle - can organise that for you Mate - shoot me an e-mail and we'll talk. BTW - can I assume you got your kit installed OK?
Oh, and how I did it - a lot of buggering around with wet&dry sandpaper, a little work with Corel Draw, some printing onto specialised clear label film, trimming, a little painting, and a couple of coats of satin estapol to finish off. Oh, plus there was a little messing around to install the additional yellow LED for the active indicator.
Oh, I should mention that I'm only able to bo the BLACK ones - the "tempest" (metallic grey colour) ones I've not figured out a way to do yet. See, the original buttons are painted over a white translucent cap, then the paint is etched or engraved away where the marking shows through. As I don't have the equipment for that kind of stuff, I had to do things a bit differently. That though doesn't allow me to replicate that grey colour - what a bummer!! :b:
Cheerz guys, later!
