Recently upgraded to MSD 6AL and coil to help idle at low revs. Has worked well but when starting sounds like the starter isn’t engaging properly all the time. Auto elec who installed thought needed to retard timing on start but no improvement.Mechanic says need to replace starter but was replaced 2500km ago, high toque unit. It only started when ignition was upgraded so I think it must be related to install. Any idea or does anyone now a good auto elec in Wagga who could help?? Lost confidence with guy who installed.
