At last !!! A thread about stuff that really matters.
Cupcakes, from Cupcakes Expresso at Adamstown (Newcastle). More flavours and sugar than is good for you.

My trade is a baker and i used to make these awesome apple and cinnamon sugar muffins. I love both muffins and cupcakes but that have to be made well, from a good recipe.

Nice man, for me I dislike both muffins and cupcakes that are dry and crumble all over the place. I would rather ones that have some texture and thickness to it..

Plus muffins generally are bigger the cupcakes sooo......
Cupcakes are cool too though

Yeah absolutely a crumbly muffin is terrible and it all comes down to the recipe. Muffins need to hold together and be moist. As far as cupcakes go, believe it or not Homebrand vanilla packet mix with a thin layer of slightly soft icing is really good. The Homebrand mix has a really fine texture, still airy and light but just the air bubbles inside the cake are really small, which creates a soft but a nice cake that holds together really well.

Cupcakes like most cake is best if it has a fine texture. Same with bread if you find a loaf of bread that has a really fine texture it will stay fresher 2 - 3 times as long as airy loaf or cake.
