Hello my wh caprice ls1 is overheating and lagging because of plugged mufflers. I am in middle east and they do not install catylic converters here in cars. All cars sold here do not have them. They only have mufflers(silencers). So my mufflers are plugged so bad that when I start the car it starts to overheat instantly! I want to take it to a muffler shop a few kms away. Is there any trick I can do so I can reach there without it overheating. I have noticed once it warmed up it does not overheat that much.
Take it off, And try stick something thrugh it to dissipate the blockage. Or, Take the muffler completly off. If it's that bad. It will be loud, But if it's blocked really bad, It may be the only way.
I agree, cut it off and drive to the place, its going to be f***** loud but would be worth that then your car overheating. They can fix it all once you get there.
