    Hey all

Do muffler tips make a difference in sound? or do they just look good?.

I'm NOT intrested in getting a new exhaust system.

    Cheers

No they don't. There is two things that they do. 1. is they make it look shiny (looks good) and the other is it adds extra weight. ;)

We put a chrome 3" tip on the vk the other day, it's welded straight onto the box and comes out the back. Made a minor sound difference but nothing heaps noticeable.

I put another zorst on my VH, extractors straight back into a cannon out the back......was loud as f*ck. A lot of people commented on how nice it sounded, even tho is was loud. It doesn't sound like a wet fart either, well it did after 3k b4 the extractors but now wth the extrators it sounds pretty sweet in my opinion.....and I know some people will bag it coz it has a cannon but its my car :p

Also when I first put my extractors on they leaked a bit coz there off a red motor....when I changed gears it gave a pop, and when I slowed down popped a few times, I didn't mind it but it also causes a really annoying ticking noise so I sealed them up good and now they don't leak...so no more popping lol

    Here's a pic of the cannon ;)

cool mate nice ride to :)

I have extractors atm which is good off a vk 3.3 , but im keen on a tip of some kind as i don't have enoigh to get a nice sports exhaust.

I'd rather have power with sound rather then sound and no power!

I'll have pics of my ride soon, she looks so different then what she use to look like :)
