well haven't had the car for the last 3 weeks :(, it went in to get a pinion seal replaced as it had a slight weep, got the car back in one day but on the drive home the diff had a slight wine witch was never there befor, my luck the mechanics was closed for a week as thay were on holidays, took it back a week later to show them the wine and it seemed to be getting louder and louder very quick, the mechanic agreed it was the diff and said he will check it out, so i left the car there again, now its been 2 weeks today since it went back car is still not done and have been informed it is most likely my pinion bearing that has collapsed and will be about $600-$800 to replace the bearings etc if that is what is wrong. now i dont think its all my fault that its making noise as the car was fine before it went there and only got a seal replaced and came back with a wine in the diff which got extremely louder with in only driving 5ks max to home and back, thay reckon it is probably just a coincidence that it collapsed when it did but i reckon thay have done something to stuff it, what do you guys think of this?

    cheers scott

Mechanic probably ####ed it mate. Tried to do burnouts or something.

When I had my sv6, I sent it into Holden for a service and got it back with 75kms added to it, no petrol and a hole in my wallet.

    thanks guys :)

well got the car back finally, turned out to be the crush sleeve wasn't torqued up correctly so its all good now, however when i picked the car up yesterday i noticed thay have gutter bashed my rear pasenger rim :realangry didn't tell me bout it i had to fined it, so now they have to replace that rim or fix it, not sure if they can be fixed tho? wasn't real happy bout it as it only happened cos they had my car for 2 weeks instead of just fixing the diff straight away after it went back, so they just parked it over the road everyday till it was done and have hit the gutter in the meantime.

any one know were the best place to get a replacement rim from so i can let them know?

hears a pic of the rim but its hard to see cos of the reflection, all 5 spokes have about a 1cm scratch on them and 2 parts of the black have been scratched also

haha thanks jester :D wish i had a real one like yours tho!, no way man i spend way to much time washing and polishing my own car lol its nearly a full time job on its own haha.

yer was just when i brought it home, didnt have to go real far on a trailer so wasn't to bad, but yer was pushing it a bit when a standard calais is like 1580kg or something

How are you finding the DRL equipped headlights?
Are the low and high beams as good or better than normal projector headlights lights?
    What globes do they use?
    Cheers
