Awesome, I replaced the handbrake boot in mine too, you probably bought the exact same one off eBay lol. Looks the same. Anyway you still have to cut holes all the way around where it screws into the centre console from below. Be really careful with the small plastic parts the screws go into as they break really, really easily. I think from memory I used a small amount of tarzans grip to help keep it in place. It also took a little while to soften up and sit properly, but I had to sort of fold it down in as it's a slightly different shape to the original. It's been a year or so and it looks fine apart from one crack across the centre.

Not much of an update today he's only done and oil change got other things connected back up he couldn't use the engine harness it came with as it didn't have the cruise connection that I need. Tomorrow with any luck he will have it running and check that it runs ok and then do the fuel pump and get a wheel alignment done.

Have you checked all the hoses? Quick and easy to change before it's all back together, and probably worthwhile if they're a bit crunchy. I dno, I'm a bit of a perfectionist about my car so I think of these things lol.

Yep that's the plan it was driven from Geelong to Werribee nearly everyday but I kept the servicing up on it for my sisster but since that knock started she wanted a newer model car so now the VR is mine for around town and my VZ for the weekends.

The VR is back home spent the day driving around town in it and she drives like a dream she drives like the day it was brought :spot on::yahoo:

Now this is the way the VR looks now before I start detailing it.

Awesome, good to have it running again. God you can't get rid of those horrible tail lights quick enough :p

Also they can't be 17" rims can they? Look too small...just going off your signature.

Yeah I think they are 16" will have to check up on that.

Will be taking her on a good drive tomorrow and then after that it will go to the end of the drive way for cleaning and detailing all week depending on the wheather.

Looking good mate. Well done. They aren't 16's I'd say more like 15's.
