    '96 VSII Berlina
Model: 1996 VS Berlina Series II
    Colour: Rubens Mica
Odo when purchased: 138,000 kms (02-02-2011)
    Odo current: 168,800 kms (21-10-2014)
    Engine: Standard 3.8L Ecotec V6
    Transmission: Standard 4-speed Auto
    Diff: Standard live axle
    Suspension: Standard, live rear end
    Wheels: Standard 15" Berlina Alloys
Interior: Standard VSII Berlina, full electrics, cruise control, climate control, dual airbags
    Stereo: JVC KD-R536 head unit

It's my first car and she's completely stock and in immaculate condition, apart from a few scratches. Interior looks like it hasn’t been sat on. Picked it up for $7000 back in Feb 2011, yes, it was a fair bit for a VS, but it drove like it just came out of the factory, had low kms and it came with a full 12 months rego at the time. Came with log books, service history and even the original '96 purchase invoice.

As for future mods, I plan on keeping it looking like a tidy daily/cruiser
    - SL springs all around
    - Short travel shocks to suit ride height
    - Adjustable pan-hard bar
    - 15" white wall tyre inserts on stock rims
    - VR/VS 'S' boot lip spoiler
    - Slimline number plate re-issues
    - 80L Long-range fuel tank in 2k silver
    - Twin tip exhaust
    - Window tint
    - Electric 2-way glass sunroof
    - Chrome interior door handles
    - 2500k yellow euro-style fog light bulbs

pretty much the exact the same as my car but 5 times cleaner, but of course you would expect that from a $7000 vs
did you get it from a dealership or something?

Haha, nah it was private. Advertised for $7900, got it down to 7 but it was still a bit pricey, oh well.

Thanks mate, there's a few little dents and scratches the camera doesn't show, repairing them is first on my list

Thanks man, I like the stock look. Good luck with yours mate.

Yeah I could have gotten something newer too, it's just that I like vs's more and this one's in good nick. At the end of the day, I'm happy with it.

That looks very nice...even your passenger side airbag cover isn't curling up...lucky f*#@er!!!

Great find. Is $7k really that expensive for a car in that condition ? I would prefer it to mattstatesman's missus VZ that's for sure. Esp with that colour. 138,000 kms over 15 years or 140,000 over 6-7 years...hmmmm.

Make sure you look after her....she's a keeper.

Cheers mate, and to think they were 38k when they were new, you really get a lot of car for just 7k. As for the airbag, first thing I did was buy a dash mat, hopefully try to prevent it from curling.

    Thanks mate

Thanks mate, I used to hate the colour myself when I got it cause there was barely any sun light at the time so it looked more brown.

Nice s-pack you got there, looks clean as.

Yeah the sun makes cars look at their best.
Yeah I was lucky to find this S-pack. I've only seen about 3 around Adelaide. Including mine ;P

Took a stab at cleaning the engine bay, also fitted a CAI and a high flow panel filter recently, probably a waste of time though.

Nah not much mate. I resprayed the engine cover as it had some scratches, got a close colour to the original silver. I'm also in the process of respraying the grille inserts, as one of them has started to peel.

I'm basically just cleaning it up rather than modding it.
