So since I blew the gearbox in my VS Berlina L67, I decided I just don't want to continue with spending money on it (even though all it needs is a gearbox). I think it's just come to the point where I am over it and just wanted something different. So I started looking around and decided on getting my first V8. I have always loved the VE Sportwagon, and I wanted a manual, and also decided to get a V8 for once and I don't regret it one bit. In my opinion, the VE SS is pretty plain, not much to look at inside, although exterior is nice, but the SSV has the extra features that won me over.

It has 110,000kms, bit more than what I wanted but couldn't turn it down because the car is immaculate and looks like its done 40,000kms.

Nice. Love VE wagons and Voodoo (and Sizzle and Poison Ivy).

I was looking for a black one but then decided on this colour, at least it will be easier to keep clean than it would if it was black.

Going to change the oil and filter soon because I'll be taking it on a roadtrip to Victoria and back on the first week of January.

UPDATE: I have sold my VYII Calais, and my VE SSV is now my daily car, love every minute of driving it, and it is the best/nicest daily car I have ever had. Averages about 500km per tank around town, so pretty good on fuel, and so comfortable to drive.

First week of January, I drove it from Gold Coast to Melbourne, stayed a week and then drove it back. While I was there I had some work done to it.

-New Stereo System consisting of; Alpine Type R Front and Rear Speakers, Alpine PDX-M12 Amp, Alpine Type X Sub. Kept the factory headunit, and the sound improvement is amazing. I was told that I would have to amp the speakers, but it sounded awesome how it was so they didn't worry about it.

-New genuine gear knob/leather boot.

-New Flip Key (old one was worn out and falling apart).

-Re-tint window in tailgate.

-New Rear Tyres.

-Fix dent near roof.

Think that was pretty much all.

After driving a V8, I don't think I could ever go back to a V6 now, so from now on, I think I will stick with the V8's, or maybe a Turbo Falcon, but for now, I am more than happy with a V8!
