Bit of wall candy.
Do they do these from pics of your own car ?
Yep! Just sent him a couple of photos and he sent through a copy after a week or so to approve. You can get framed poster versions from him a bit cheaper but I like the canvas, looks ace.
Picked up a set of 19" Clubsport Rims cheap last week. Really dodgy paint job, even painted over the centre caps for some reason. Minor rash on 2 but seem ok other than that. They are down at the powdercoater now getting a fresh new finish. Here are 2 to show what they looked like.
Also once the caps were cleaned up these were revealed.
Still had the pressure sensors fitted too so if anyone needs a set cheap yell out!
Got the wheels back. Looking much better!
Well the time had come to do something about the swirls and light scratches in the paint. After much deliberation I decided to give a local detailer a go at a paint correction and ceramic coating.
I ended up going with a product called Kenzo by IGL Coatings. I will put up some better pics soon but I have a couple of screenshots of before and after the correction. No coating applied in these.
Will get some pics later on of the finished car.
Here is one of the roof to give an idea of the finish with the Kenzo Ceramic Coating.
Really happy with the results. Beyond expectations.
Here are the final results.
Finally got hold of a HSV steering wheel from an E3 Senator over the weekend. My buttons and airbag went back into it that has made one of the biggest changes in "feel" when driving so far. Just that thicker wheel feel is SO much better. Highly recommend this swap if anyone was thinking about doing it.
How much for the wheel if you don`t mine?
And yes looks good.
Nah I don't mind at all, I paid $250 mate.
Hey mate how much did the ceramic coating cost if you don't mind telling and has it lasted? would you recommend to get it done? Thanks
G'day mate. The cost is very much based on the condition of the paint in the first place and the type of ceramic coating you choose. Mine needed a fair bit of correction first and the ceramic coating is one of the top range coatings. I paid $1500 for it all up and the coating has warranty for 5 years. You just have to pressure wash it with water and go for a quick drive and it comes up amazing. No touching of the paint.
Do I recommend it, 10000% yes.
Get the best you can afford and you won't be disappointed.
Get the rims done too.
Cheers for that I will definitely look into it, i haven't had much of a chance to see mine dry yet as when i got there to look at it it started raining, I pick mine up Tuesday but from what i saw it looked pretty good.
Gratuitous pic day
Looking slick !
