so bane (from batman) came over and sorted hsit out. its nice when its all one colour: inside of the dash: and now the nitty-gritty: am suuuuuuper happy with how it came out. yeah, there are some **** spots, 1 high spot im a bit gutted didnt notice before, hopefully it will block out. there are still a few pin holes here and there but shouldnt be an issue when blocking. here is the dash: didnt do the doors, inner guards or bonnet, found a spot in the roof that needed attention which ended up taking a few hours, not really that worried, running a bit low on time but should be able to have all the paint squeezed on before we re-open on the 6th... hopefully.
yea i was sortin **** out while bad santa was on the phone with some chick who's put him in the "friend box". lol it was painful listening, thank god he took it to he office so i could get some work done. they use to paint each others nails or something...
We had a workshop night, Where he ditched us all for this chick. And the best he got was a wristie from himself. True story
for those who dont remember: also: the "friend-zone" happened the other way round with the girl i was talking to different girl hoz.
Will that seam on the firewall ever resurface?, I don't want to go back through 110pages to find out. But huge change, Well worth the effort by the looks of it
time for a lecture. so here in the red i have circled all the areas i have modified. the main parts were where the heater and wiper motor used to be. those are the big circles on the top RHS of pic and the big square hole mid RHS. the small indents and circles that were pressed in have been oxy'ed, smashed flat and shrunk. the depression on the top of the trans tunnel (relief for the dizzy i think) was cut off and flattened the two exit holes for the old heater core were welded up and the mount holes for the heater all welded up. the top LHS of car (RHS of pic) had been in a hit and was wobbly to ****, i ended welding washers onto this area and using a slide hammer to bash it as flat as possible next to where the brake booster goes is a weird looing "sideways tear drop" shaped hole which was for the speedo cable. this was oxy'ed roughly into shape and patched. and all the little pin dents were oxy'ed flat and shrunk. the big seam around the firewall, sadly is still there and required a fair amount of bog to fill. but i seam welded up about a foot of the LHS and it took AAAAAAGES cos the rust in the seams kept sploding' and making huge holes which then needed to fill, so i gave up. anyway, im happy edit* oh the hole where the engine loom passes through was patched up and moved about 200mm towards the LHS of car so its tucked in behind the guard, rather than being completely visable.
it shoouldnt. there was a rusty area on the drivers side that i just quickly ran the wire wheel over the first time i painted it. when i wire wheeled it this time it was exaclty as it was before. hadnt spread. but this time i use the oxy/hammer and some good quality deoxidine on it. never know though. probably.
also i havnt given ryder credit for some awesome panelbeating on the rear 1/4. it was pumped out way too much and he got it nice and flat, but its behind masking paper at the moment and i dont really wanna unmask it just yet, but be assured ill post pics when its exposed.
im in so much freaking pain right now... getting too old for long arse days. hey ryder, if you read this can you post a link to where i can get that sparkle? may as well order it now and get on it. what an amazing combo
