wow.... thats sounds heaps different to the other day. running like a swiss watch now. (giving me a chubby)
I've been lurking for quite a while Ari, I <3 fluffy. Definitely can't wait to see the paint job done mate, this car has come a very long way by the looks of it. If I ever get drunk enough, I will start from page 1 and read it from the start
only pulls .hpt file extensions. efilive and hpt are not interchangable if you can figure out how to view them have a squiss at this thread: got a real interesting one for ya - Page 2
few pics. not much work on atm so started today early just so i could smash it. basically stripped the outside bare. anything that isnt gonna get painted is gone. my fav lil' badges gone: fronts gone: again my fav badges gone worked on the gaps a bit before stripping it back. theyre not perfect, but enough to keep me happy: bonnet gaps are all over the place due to **** hinges. theyre brand new repro, and were as garbage right out of the packed as my old ones. again its a case of "good enough": no wipers, no chrome strips... looks weird as to me. im used to seeing shiny stuff all over this car: and this is the state of the boot at the moment. im only now just remembering that ryder and i drilled some holes in the kevlar and tipped in some resin, cos it was a bit wobbly in that area... well, thats the reason for the high spot ive been bitching about all this time. now that ive figured it out and picked all the cracked resin from inside it, ill layer on a couple of layers of glass and start again: this is my chrome bin so the plan now is to sand it all back. gap. align. fix two rust holes. prep. paint. spray. drink lots of beers. laugh. cry. cry some more. then hopefully have it painted all green.
shoulda known this **** would happen: "hey, there is a tiny bubble on this 1/4 that im sure was flat when i finished it, lets take a closer look" nek minit im redoing the whole fkn 1/4 panel..
just for something different, this should land 2nd week of october. took a while to get it on a boat: that fkn dash bubble looks clean enough i guess. auction grade 3.5 so it should be pretty nice. its a genuine V-spec, and Z-AA soooo not sure what the Z means. AA is just regular ol' 9" alloy wheel v-spec. cant see the brembos, though. and that fkn bubble in the dash will do my head in, but i suppose its my job to fix **** like that, so thats what ill do. now, just need to finish this impala paintwork before the 2nd week of october...
