Car's come such a long way. great to see it like this. And happy for how Ari must be feeling.
stuck doing 60 hours weeks for the last 4 months (including saturdays), then my boss hit me with 5 resprays in the last 3 weeks before break up. totally ####ed any chance of touching aris car. kind of spewing tbh... couldn't be helped.
No wonder Jim Richards was cranky at '92 Bathurst.
no doubt, we couldve done a better job *eventually* but mate, im so over panel work and it just had to be done. the biggest spot thats gonna bug me is the top of the passenger door. they undid some rough shaping i did (cos it was ROUGH as arseholes) but made the shape all wrong. meh too late now.
im still fully committed to letting you go nuts with the crushed ice and lace. after a few weeks ill hit the boys up about hiring the booth, rub it back here the add a touch of lace in a booth. then we can also do a proper flow coat and really getting the colour to pop.
short trip from the shop home:
bloody panel shop loosened the back windows off to get at the seals took me about 2.5 hours to get those windows right last time jobs are adding up.
god daaaaaaamn ari! she looks amazing!
is your workshop next to a brothel?
lol yep. .
lol that's awesome
Ari also lives at the shop. Thus why his projects take a long time to get done
Is it any good :whistling
A knock shop next to a chop shop?
I love the different directions this thread takes.... Ari finally has the impala painted and the topic of discussion is the knock shop next door lol
So... Ari... I have to meet you one day... Not just because brothel and the whore house you work next to.
I bet there's a lot more volunteers next time he asks for help with his car
just to steer away from hookers and the degenerate minds of JC users, ill chuck some pics up:
had a serious "chip foose" session tonight. couple of the panel shop lads dropped in for a brew, dirby once again chipped in for a good session and hozy wozy and 'friend' turned up to take happy snaps. hopfully they got some nice shots.
all up got a ****-tonne done. still need to finish off the windows, window trims, tighten up bars, wheel arch moldings, inside door trims, and take care of some overspray.
once thats done ill need an hour or so to touch up the road tune to kill a pretty bad flatspot and she'll be good to roll.
pretty fkn happy about it all.
revving the car and im giggling like a bitch as the car body torques haha.
Looks so much better in person then in the photos.
looking the part now mate .
Frrrrrkk so want to see this in person now.
no doubt, anyone that lives in melbourne will see it at one stage or another over the next few weeks as i intend to be pretty much driving it 24/7
