well, chev rallys are gonna cost me in excess of 2 grand. which i do not have, so in the meantime while i keep dreaming about the day i can cruise around in this beast, i have put a little elbow grease into the wheels that came with the car.

now, i need to make it clear that i DO NOT condone in any way the wheels that are on it. i think they are the worst design ever made (of course they suit chrysler/dodge cos' they were fitted as standard) and they make me wanna spew everytime i look at the car, but now i want to spew a little less each time. and the wheels are;

chevoit globes :(

very very interested in rally rims... what size can i fit on 6 inchers tho? 205? would they have caps and dress rims?

..and the engine bay is gonna get more than a steam clean. the whole front clip moves around when you go up the gutter to get into my back yard. i think its missing a few crucial bolts, next weekend we are gonna unclip it and go over the bay and inner guards with a bit of rust converter and sating black. work our way through the wires and dirt as we go. i may drop the engine/trans but need to see what kinda weather we are gonna get. i dont want to put this back together in the rain and my housemates 74' ford galaxy has shed rights :(

Yeh, 205-215 on a 6" rim. They have corvette style centre caps (the smooth ones) but no dress rims. They have a chrome rim with a painted centre, which will need repainting as they are orange atm (on an orange HQ). If you are interested, i'll have a chat to my boss and find out how much he wants for them and get some pics.

i think 205's may be a little narrow for my tastes. it has 235's on a 7inch rim atm which are fine for the front, but looking a little on the skinny side for the rear. i got priced $2250 for 4 rallys, dress rims, corvette caps with the bowtie on it and 235/60/15 x2 and 255/60/15 x2 tyres.

not too bad, hopefully he will take my *spew* globes as a trade :D wouldnt surprise me if he just spewed in my face and told me to get out...

There is a cheaper option, buy a second hand set of rally rims and have them widened to suit what you want. That way you will get the exact size/offset you want. I had this done to my GTS rims for my ute, it was only $140 for a 15x8 and $130 for a 15x6. They just replace the outer band with the correct size. I had mine done at Ajax wheels in moorabbin, all up they cost me about $1300 with tyres including buying the GTS rims to start with. You can get a 255 on an 8" rim...

some nice rust below the front vents. i am gonna weld a plate in here once we have cut it all out which will stop the dirt/water collecting and stop any future breakouts, tempted to fit two 6 inch speakers here, but still not sure at this stage
