Just beautiful :) Do a nice motor, and refurbished interior - but leave the outside the way it is :) It's got so much character! I love it :D

If Mortons got a keen eye he will be able to see that the HQ and Chevs of the late 60s share the same basic F body chasis and suspension :)

thanks heaps guys. its gave me a little buzz to read your comments.

i was gonna keep the 327 and i am thinking of sourcing NOS stock parts to make the 375HP version of the block. i have not been able to find any info on the rochester fuel injection setup so i may drop that idea and just build a weapon out of edelbrock stuff instead :) there is a website called "summit racing" which is like me, 7 years old, walking through a toyshop. the Mrs is from denver, colarado, so i can get her folks to post stuff over as gifts ;)

plus my mate has a 454, and he is in my ear something crazy about dropping it in this, but i dunno... i dont think i want that kinda torque, full chassis or not, itll be a bit silly.

its gonna be one long haul, but i think itll look really classic when its done. and dont worry;

the fish on the boot was the first thing to go :)

will post up pics whenever i get something done.

Bah, there's no such thing as too much torque. You're dreaming. I have a good mind to drop a 454 into my HQ and put the power down through the stock 185s... ^_^

I'd guess that they would last all of 30 seconds! lol

To the OP: schweeeet! Impalas are the bomb, my old man still regrets selling his 63 about 10 years ago. Keep us posted :D
