My '79 VB SL/E

Picked this up today, a few of you would have seen it before, tidy for its age but not quiet finished, let the fun begin.

1979 VB SL/E - genuine 95000kms
Engine: 253 V8
Mods: Dynotec cam, Edelbrock performer intake manifold, rebuilt Quadrajet, 1" carby riser, Gilmer kit, Genie headers into 2.25" twin system.
Trans: shift kitted trimatic w/ aftermarket cooler.
Diff: stock for now
Brakes: stock discs all around
Suspension: lowered Lovells
Interior: Awesome!
Stoked with it but looking forward to putting some of my own touches to it, full credit to Garrett (RUN41T) for getting it this far

Put these wheels on.
Before you give me bulk crap about them, they are a temporary fix to 2 issues.
1. It revs at 3000rpm when doing 110kph on the freeway with 15" wheels, put the 18's on to tone that down a bit until I sort out what I'm doing with gearing.
2. I need wheels on it while the SL/E wheels are being powder coated, otherwise it'll be on stands in the garage and I can't have that.

Its so pretty. sun visor and venetians would just Finnish it off.

Definitely keen to see how the wheels turn out, it's got a black venetian already, I might pull it out and paint it white.

The flappers don't suit the car i don't think. Because there a dull coloured wheel and the cars a light colour. they just stand out Too much and don't go with anything on it.

Otherwise looks nice. Whats with the overkill on the air filter though?

The filter is a bit crazy huh, I'm tossing up between a reverse cowl or just run a smaller filter with a normal bonnet, so far I'm liking the old Brock cowl scoop idea
