nah i havent replaced that it just seems weird that after the replacing the crank and cam sensor that it keeps throwing the code up straight away as if there may be a problem with the wiring

the dfi can throw the same code as a CAS. as the signal is passed thru the dfi module to the ecu from the cas. cas controlls the firing sequence much like the dizzy roter did way back when

I would point more towards the balancer. The fins can sometimes get bent causing a bad signal. I always find it's much easier to replace the CAS and balancer at the same time. If the spark is breaking down that far up though I would be more inclined to go coil problem. One way to test is touching them after a drive if one feels hotter then the rest it can some times mean it isn't working. The sure fire way is to check resistance though. Or really easy swap out your mates till it comes good :p

na ages before that. basically the engine light has been coming on since i bought it in 08. i just have to get around to changing the cas and dfi and hope for the best. but the bastard has started surging on me. i can trigger it to. there is one hill in town that i go up on a daily basis. and if i dont manually hold it in gear it will surge bacvk to first and then up to second. might even be tps for all i know lol

Ps. To the op, sorry bout the thread hijack lol
