My brake lights stay on

My brake lights won't turn off they both blew 2 weeks ago I changed them both they worked fine then I noticed the other day that one didn't work I checked it,it was fine I checked the fuse an that was blown I put a new one in the brake lights lit up but won't turn off what's up with that?

There is a short somewhere.
Might be a faulty globe or a more serious issue with the wiring.

Another simple check (though unlikely cause) is the brake switch on the peddle assembly. It might need adjusting (provided they are adjustable on a VE)

Howz it mate thanks for the input I had a auto electrician have a look he reckons it was a faulty brake switch,he put a new one in now he saying the car won't learn it might be a fault with the bcm

This is 100% the brake pedal switch! I had the same issue, to the point the gearbox was down shifting at odd times and the cruize control wouldnt work... locate the switch on the pedal... loosen the mounting screws get someone to depress the pedal then tighten the screws up while the pressure is on the pedal. If that doesnt work your switch will probably need replacing...

Had this happen to mine recently, I went into the service mode was putting out 17 v at battery, new alternator put in , still didn’t fix brake light issue though but found the left brake/light element touching and causing a short, easy fix.

Remove both globes and check if there’s current with no globes.
A simple check to find if the globes are the problem.

Adjust the switch as sv6wagon said.
