My First Car - 2005 VZ SV6

Car: Sept 2005 Holden VZ Commodore SV6, Impulse, 5 spd auto, LSD

Well this is my first car! Bought in March 2008 with 54,000kms. Really happy with it, great on the highway, I do a lot of highway driving, hates city stop start traffic. Has a bit of character now with the MCAI/2 hole mod, a bit of mongrel compared to how it used to sound before.

Mods so far:

• K&N Panel Filter
• Monaro Cold Air Induction Shroud (referred to as MCAI)
• 2 hole mod
• Genuine VZ Strut Brace
• QFM HPX brake pads on all corners (inc. Police spec. fronts)
• Tinted Windows - Midnight Express

Future Mods

• Paint engine covers
• Phreddied head unit
• New stereo system (replace standard door speakers and add in some 6x9's, amp)
• VZ SS Alloy pedals
• Brand new exhaust system (extractors and cat back)
• Tune
• Slotted rotors

I'll be keeping the car pretty well stock for a while and just concentrate on paying it off and maintained but I thinK if I was to put mags on it I would slap the Monaro CV8R rims, they look pretty schmick! :dance:

nice holden mate! looks great. doesn't need any mods but if u do those rims you mentioned will look great, and would look even better with some lowered springs...just get lows if u wanna keep a smooth ride. :thumbsup:

17 or 1800 12 months ago with rubber and fitted & balanced

Ok so after much thought here's a list definate mods I will be doing.

Engine covers: I am thinking a blue and silver like nordy or a blue and gun-metal grey just be a little different

The two hole mod with a k&n pod filter would be the next mod inline

Lastly would be a completely new exhaust system, twin 2.5" system, however brandwise I am not sure. I know at the moment Lukey has a deal where if you buy one of their systems u get free air filter, but this mod won't be till next year I think.

I may tint my windows, not sure yet.

I may get a blue LED scheme installed also, again not sure about it.

That would keep me happy, for a while...

Get your windows tinted mate. I just got mine done on saturday in the darkest legal tint and i would never go back now. Do you mean a panel filter when you say pod filter?
