My Head Unit wont work :(

Hey people me and my mate are trying to install an Alpine double din deck into his 2005 Caprice but we can get power to it but wen we connect the speaker wires up we cant hear anything... with the factory deck it had heaps of inputs n outputs for DVD controls n things like that n im wondering if we have to do anything with them wires before it will all work again....

Please help us out.

Yeah, It can't be done without a lot of specialist wiring....
