    - Just above the side door vent there's a plastic bit, that's fallen off and been tapped back on by previous owner. - FIXED, replaced with a genuine VZ one.
    - Front right aftermarket headlight fits poorly. - FIXED, replaced with a pair of new genuine VX SS headlights
    - Leather on the drivers side it tearing from the seam in the middle.
    - Hood sound deadening/heat protection has started to fall down.
    - Front bumper needs to be repainted and fitted properly. Purchased the bumper, waiting for re-spray
    - Sagging book holders on front seats.
    - Passenger floor mat missing SS logo (torn out) - FIXED, bought VY/VY SS floor mats. Couldn't find and VX ones.

    PRESENT MODS:

    - Tinted windows (not sure what %). - REMOVED, planning to get re-done (4/9/15)
    - Dual 2.5 inch catback exhaust.
    - Lowered on King Springs with Monroe GT Sports Shocks
    - Front and rear aftermarket LED and Projector lights

    - Full Di Filippo 3inch exhaust system
    - New stereo; want Bluetooth connectivity.
    - Paint the other 2 calipers red
    - VE SS badges - , may change back to VX ones though (4/9/15)
    - Refurbish front leather seats
    - White LED Dome light, just changed today.

    - Buy original Holden SS Headlights
    - Rear guards rolled
    - VE SSV Rims
    - Wash, Clay Bar, Cut, Polish and seal.

    My thoughts:

After looking for a SS for over 5 months on Carsales i finally found on i was really happy with. Got a StateRoads check done before i flew over and had a look myself. Went over to Sydney on Friday (Australia day long weekend), was happy with it so i drove it back from Sydney to Adelaide on the Saturday. Didn't miss a beat. The car feels much more solid than my previous VX Berlina V6 which had done 250,xxx miles. I'm so happy with the car. Love the Black body and red leather, goes well together. I was planning to change the aftermarket lights back to stock, at least just the back ones, but after seeing them in person i thought they went well with the car.

Eventually planning to cut and polish the paint, needs a little TLC. Also Gonna give it a service soon; Plugs, Leads, o2 sensors, Air filter, Oil + Filter and possibly Fuel filter. Running a little rough at the moment.

    How it came:

    [IMG] [IMG]

    What i've done:
    New engine covers
    [IMG]

Changed the lights back to new genuine stock ones from the aftermarket ones.
    [IMG] [IMG]

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Conditioned the leather. VY/VZ SS Pedals, Satin Silver door handles and Gearstick with Silver Air vent surrounds, a Pioneer Headunit and a fixed compartment door.

    New SSV rims fitted.

    Looks nice.

    Welcome to hell.
Well not really but black cars just need a bit more attention but results always look fantastic.

Repairs from what ya listed should be easy enough to sort.

    Thanks mate :)

Haha, yeah i know :). Fortunately i wash my car every week regardless, so it shouldn't be too bad. Can't wait to see how well i can get it to come up with a clay bar, cut, polish and wax :D

Mmm, i'm a bit unsure about debadging and putting VE SS badges on it though, thinking i might wreck the paint :s. Thanks for the template btw! :D

They're those kinda cheap projector headlights from Ebay, i made sure they're pointing down BUT what i found out yesterday was the previous owner has actually put HI Beam halogens in the Low Beam seat in the headlights. So when i'm driving at night i practically always have my Hi Beams on, which i need to change asap.

It's just sitting out a bit. Makes the beam go a bit to the left, nothing major though.

Thanks mate. That's another reason why i wanted it so bad :)

Thanks mate. I thought it looked pretty pissed off, that's what i wanted, haha.

Here's a pic of the piece of plastic that's falling down. Any ideas on how to fix it and not look dodgy?

    Headlights
Bumper needs to more then likely come off and headlights readjusted.
Theres a bit that sticks out that goes into a hole in the quarter. If not sitting well, then pops out.
Headlights need to be loosened and reseated. then the bumper

Door air vent upper - from memory it clipped in place. (havent taken door trim off in a while)

Mmmm. Well i was planning to have it resrayed in the future so i'll talk to them about adjusting it while the bumper is off. Yeah, you can see the whole where the pin isn't lined up correctly.

Damn. That means the clip has probably broken off :(

Looks nice mate. My brother had a black VS ute. It looked badass, but he hated trying to keep it clean. Looks soooo good when it is though.

Changed the headlights back to stock today. I did want them stock, but didn't want to buy stock ones so i couldn't justify it. Picked these up cheap though: $25 each.
