    Only had it for 1 whole day, and i love it! :thumbsup: Previously i had a V-Series VE V6 and i always wanted an SS... so i did a bit of looking on carpoint and found one for the right price... so it took me all of 4 days to convince the Minister for War & Finance to trade the V6 in for it...... 33 grand for the SS... 19 grand trade on the V6, so it was hard to knock back! :dance:
    so far i am very impressed with the way it handles and especially the way it accelerates :D I haven't wound it out completely yet... but i went to 5 and a half grand in tiptronic mode... felt good!! especially after getting out of the 180kw V6... and you don't have to get the revs as high in the SS to get decent power out of it. For the long term future it will be staying stock..... i have become rather attached of my nuts... so i don't really want to lose them just yet!! :whistling
    Anyway..... i know there are lots of nice rides here.. been looking around :thumbsup: I am more than happy with mine.. and i hope to enjoy browsing here with other Commodore lovers

    Pics coming.....

    it's tinted. Looks like it's the darkest legal tint you can get because it's hard to see the interior from the outside.
    I want custom plates... but the wife wants a custom one with LH-85-TH which is our initials and the year we were married :eek: I want 1SXYSS but the minister for war and finance has an issue with paying 400 bux per year for a plate.

    Some updated pics... all it has got since i got it is about 5 coats of turtle wax on the paint, and i painted the calipers. Took it out to the racecourse near here to get photos with my sons VR Berlina today.

    Hey mate, nice SS, have one myself, did you do the calipers yourself or did you have it done. If so how did you do it?

    Thanks mate, i did the brakes myself. Wasn't too hard..... but the disc pads are a bastage to get back into the metal clips. Once i sorted that, it was all sweet.
    I took some pics,

    Before:
    [IMG]

    I took the caliper off and removed the pads and sat it back over the disc to paint it;

    Back on again;
    [IMG]

    all done!! :thumbsup:

    The front were a bit different because of the size of the calipers..... i sat them on top of the front disc to paint them, and the result you have seen......
