2010 VE SS Ute
Hey all,

Well I'm new to the forum and Holdens so I thought I would post my ride up and say hello. Anyway I recently bought a low km ute to tow my toys around and use as a daily. It's a 2010 VE Series 1 SS, red in colour, 6sp man, sports bar, 9000km on the clock and owned by an older gentleman. It is still in show room condition

Today I fitted a cat back 3" x-force system which has given the car a little bit more bark, I also have a VCM OTR (MAF version) to fit next week which ill get my mate nick to tune. Today we did a baseline run and to both our surprise it made 238rwkw stock. Now before you say a dyno number is just a number this is a good 20rwkw higher than any other factory VE SS that he has had on his dyno. His VE SS only made 212rwkw out of the box. Anyway it will be interesting to see the power gain the intake and exhaust will make

Anyway here are some pics. Ill take some better ones over the weekend hopefully

Cheers mate ill be looking at some different rims (20's most probably) down the track.

I also plan on fitting the brembo front brake kit as the factory SS brakes could use a bit of beefing up IMO.

And yeah I have had those plates for years. That S3 RX7 is a bit of a wolf in Sheep's clothing. It has a 13B turbo engine out of a JC Cosmo. The engine has now been rebuilt by Maztech with ceramic seals, full Bridgeport, windowed bearings, new housings etc with a 800hp Garrett T04z strapped on the side. On street fuel it makes 420rwhp and on race fuel close to 600rwhp. It's pretty 'exciting' in a car that weighs less than 1100kg :smoking:

Well I have sold my alloy sports bar/soft tonneau. I am about to order a hard tonneau for my ute. Does anyone have any recommendations for suppliers? I don't mind the look of the HSP central locking hard lids with no external locks.
