my new vl commodore project

Hey all i got this vl for $400 with 11 months rego the orignal motor had done 545,000km and had a bad head problem so i ripped that out and replaced it, ive been slowly doing it up and have lots of parts to be fitted ,
so far i have

adjustable kmac strut tops with pedders low springs in the front

vl turbo breaks and slotted rotors ,

lsd vl turbo diff and disk rear end, adjustable panhard rod, double break booster and 1inch master clynder

calais tail lights,boot molding, lower door molds, sideskirts ,vk calais door trims, chrome window finishing strips, front popups, group a grill, red rear garnish, group 3 rear bar, (still looking for front bar)

will be getting vp calais seats front and rear and a 5 speed gearbox,

dont have any plans for the engine yet its just a standard rb30 taken from a r31 with a auto prob missed out on other parts i have for it but when there fitted ill upload some more pics

Piss the motor off and get another one. They go pretty cheap for a stocko

i already have replaced the motor that has done 5**,000 km i got another motor out of a r31 skyline

update got new wheels today need a clean but the car will be detailed when ive finished

Don't go one colour on a VL, always go 2 tone, they just don't look right with full colour, that's my opinion anyway

the chrome finishing strips on windows look interesting.

mono colors look good mate single tone white looks sweet when new.

lose the red garnish, just looks tacky.. go the standard calais look, never fails.

yea ive never seen them before, they were on a vl i was wrecking i got all the chrome strips for all the windows, were they aftermarket or calais there metal not plastic ? or off a older model ?do ya know

and the red garnish is the only one i have for now ill have to find a calais one later on

Heres a update on my vl project been many months since i posted n lots has been done still far away from being what i want it to be tho now has factory vl turbo running gear engine trans diff , all calias parts are genuine not aftermarket , and im still unsure on 2 tone or single lol hope u like
