    Hi,
i just have a general question which may seem very basic but i still have no idea, the ute is still fitted with the standard tape deck and i can't figure out how to get it out, my boyfriend has tried but hey he doesn't know that much and i don't want him wrecking my ute , so if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated:)

I reckon if your not very keen, spend $80 and get it fitted professionally, atleast if extra wiring is need the technican will provide it.

u guys are up nice and early!
pull the ash tray out and cig lighter and remove the plastic cover from the shifter. its easy just pull it up from the hand brake end. There will be 3 screws at the bottom of the suround undo and rip it out. the plug 4 the imobiliser light is on the back of the sterio suround. take out the glove box there is a slide pin that slides out on the right hand side of the inner glove box, its black just lever with a flat head screw driver carfully.
use your commy key to undo the clips above the foot pedals, under the steering wheel there is a slide pin the same as the glove box on the drivers side when you undo these clips. pull the larger plastic suround out and with a small amount of work from there it should be a clear shot from there.
let me know if i missed anything out and how you guys went, and welcome to just commys!

That is spot on for a vs sedan, but may not be right for the maloo ute.

My senator is differrent in that the entire top of the centre console is one piece. you have to pull out the plugs that are in the lift up section of the centre consol then the entire top can be moved out the way with a bit of stuffing around, the the rest is as per above.

if its like a standard ute with a bench seat and colum shift there is just a plastic skirt that screws in around the bottom.
