Anyway, I thought I'd share my other car, which is nothing like a mini.

This is 'Sue-Anne'

She is a 1965 Morris Mini Deluxe come cooper s replica.
Details:
- 1330cc engine, lightened and balance
- twin inch and 1/4 su carbs
- full bare metal respray in 2k paint.
- cobra classic seats
- widened chrome steelies
- twin fuel tanks

Under the bonnet since I did the engine rebuild.

New bonnet straps and headlight grilles.

New carpet set. Lower dash rail has been trimmed, and I will do the upper rail soon. Just need to find a chrome strip for across the bottom rail.

New fire extinguisher. I mounted it on a bracket that I made that mounts to the seat mounts.

Cooper s had an extra fuel tank added on the right hand side. Basically it was added for racing.

For anyone who didn't know, a cooper s won Bathurst in 1966! As well as the next 8 positions. Back then Bathurst (the Gallagher 500) was run in classes. The mini beat cars from all classes including Fiat 850's, Morris 850's, Mini Coopers, Datsun Bluebirds, Cortinas, Hillman Imps, Vauxhalls, Belletts, Coronas, Skylines, Renaults, Valiant V8's, Holden X2's, Volvos and Triumphs.

Nice car.
I had a new dark blue Mini De Luxe in 1965. Then a white one for my Wife to drive in 1966. She had a '64 Mini 850 before this.
They were great little cars that look so tiny today in this day and age.

The motor is very light, but so is the car at only 650kg.

Yes, they are tiny, but they are more spacious than most would think.

Very nice, mate.

I have a mate with a couple of mini's and he's not a small bloke. I used to give him **** about fitting in a mini until I had a go of it. I reckon there's more room in the drivers seat than in my Toranas. Suprisingly roomy in there.

I remember years ago back in 1976 a bloke I knew sold a Mk 2 for $1800 He was asking $2000 but took the offer now probably worth $20000..
If only I knew then what I know now.
