    Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster, as I've just purchased my VE SS this week and love it :)

In the past I've owned a few Commodores over the last 20 years, a couple of VK Berlinas (a 6cyl and a 253 V8 conversion), a VL Calais Turbo and a VN Calais V8.

My new daily drive is a totally stock 2008 Phantom Black Manual VE SS - no fixed plans for upgrades yet but I'm sure that will happen soon enough. I did have the dealer install rear parking sensors and the heavy duty tow bar before I picked it up.

So hello everyone! :) I've been enjoying reading all the various posts here on the forum across every subject - look forward to getting involved in the discussion.

Looks very clean. Now to make it sound like a V8 :)

    Thanks for the welcome :)

Yep, indeed. I have been reading over the massive all-in-one thread which branches off and there looks to be a hell of a lot to choose from - that sent me looking (listening) on YouTube to some of the exhaust note examples on there - but the recording setup/quality is obviously playing a big part in it. I do love the 'crackle' you hear on some of the down changes.

Earlier tonight I purchased a cheapo ODB2 Bluetooth adaptor to get some readings out of the car (to use with my Android phone as a data logger/track day kit).

First things first is to take it down to my local mechanic and get a dyno run on it as-is to get a baseline then start tinkering.

Back to reading more forum threads/posts - some of the cars the guys and girls here have are awesome - and certainly increasing my desire to start modding sooner rather than later.
