Mike, if you're not happy with the market value they offer you don't be afraid to argue it. Look at all the car websites for cars the same year and condition and k's as yours. Print them out and use them to argue the market value. Kick and scream if you have too. Even if it gets you only $500 more it's still $500 you didn't have.

Ouch, that isnt good at all man, sorry to see a nice car go that way.

My old mans car was hit up the arse by a RAV4 about 5 years ago (Subaru Outback) when it was only 4 months old. Impact was enough to push all chassis out of allignment, and all the interior mouldings up to the rear doors were pushed forward about an inch and the doors wouldnt open properley. Only from really slow speed.

He had it repaired but the car was never the same again. Wouldnt start first time ever, had to crank it, and then crank it again. Took it back to Subaru so many times but they couldnt find anything wrong with it. Just wasnt the same, didnt feel right either.

My condolences, hope for a big payout and and upgrade, if you are currently working u can prob claim rental costs for a car off the other guys insurance, as he has left you without transportation to and from work in theory he would have to pay 4 transport for u directly if insurance doesnt cover it.
