Yeah, trailer color is certainly "unique".

There are some rust spots on it at the spare wheel and also at the rear of the trailer where the light poles have been welded on. Something we will be addressing once boating season is over.

Current plan is to get insurance and rego for the boat sorted this week and be out on the water this Thursday and then over the weekend.

So the insurance on the boat is all organised, go to organise the rego and find out you need an "appointment" and the next available appointment is the 4th of Feb!

WTF?

I would understand that it could be this long if the boat had to be inspected by they don't even want to see it. They want a receipt and that's it!

Jerks.

Safe to say I will be going out this Thursday unregistered. Hopefully won't get fined.

Read through the T+C and PDS on the insurance. The require the vessel to be properly maintained but have no registration criteria. They just wanted to know the serial number on the engine when I was doing the insurance.

I found this strange but hey, I don't make the rules.

Reading through the documentation again just to double check.

Cool. Problem is thought, they could easily just say you were illegally operating the vessel. And some Insurance doesn't cover you if you're knowingly breaking the law when an incident happens. Not having a go dude. Just sayin.

Anyway, will see if I do end up going out. Now that I've calmed down from my "Vicroads jerks" rage I may have to reconsider.

I guess the biggest factor on the day will be.... how nice the weather is.

Well, I have great news.

Sent my fiancee this morning on "Mission Impossible". To register the boat without and appointment AND not in her name.

And she did it! She said she just went to Vicroads, played dumb and innocent (both of which she is not ) and the registration person caved and did it!

Our boat is registered!!! So we are 100% legal when we go out on the water this Aus day!!
