Hey , yeah , never had speakers behind seats . Most opinions I got was why and would be a compromise . Didn't want them on that shelf or cut holes in back wall and mount them through that into tray . I use that space on floor behind seats when we go away .
First splits were $200 ones from auto barn. new ones are more expensive but absolutely , totally sh*t all over them.
Mids are in doors where original ones went and tweeters are mounted on covers for mirrors ( only work if electric mirrors ) and splitter box which I had to set is on cover near fuses .
Amp only powers sub. Settings on amp ( frequency , hertz, phase and gain ) are all setup to suit stereo , sub, location and sort of music you elect as your main listening preference .
Sub box design and sort also affects sub performance .
My sub's ported into cabin ( see photo )
So base is only behind sound , even when you don't think it's doing much if you turn it off you go ok it was . With right music don't need too much volume to vibrate the sh*t out of the rearview mirror
