when you say you did it all yourselves, does that include molding the bonnet?

What do I think....AWESOME. I havea few questions though. Monaro induction kit, whats the difference between that and the standard SV6 kit. Also, do you have the part numbers for the satin chrome vents?

Aside from that, its going to look spectacular when its finished!

DUK13Y; yeah did it all ourselves...basicly we got a second hand genuine bonnet(which turned out to be off a vz clubby), then we got the scoops from a place in queensland sent down.

and yeah cut the two to pieces until they fitted as one bonnet, then moulded it all togetether

Azzurri-VZ-SV6; monaro cai is another word for the "second hole mod" which is basicly cutting a second hole in the airbox and fitting a plastic shield which came standard on monaro's and possibily the 6L v8s.

    part numbers..
    GM-92104418
    GM-92104206
    GM-92104153
    GM-92104151

woops there the part numbers for the door handles, i cant find my reciept for the vents.. sorry

    bit of a small update.
due to not wanting mesh, (cause i reckon it looks cheap), ive decided to go some chrome bars across the centre.

its just some 16mm chrome curtain rail from bunnings. measured the bar about 1000 times and drilled 4 holes using a 16mm hole saw.

So all that's required is purchasing the plastic shield and cutting a hole in the air box to make it connect to the air box?

How does this compare to the normal second hole mod in terms of performance and noise?

its all the same mate. both ways are just making the air intake bigger. dunno about performance gain because i did my exhaust at the same time. but it deffentlty gets rid of the camry/vacuum induction noise.

Ah nice... and by the way let me be the first to say the chrome bars look great. First the SSX bar, now the chrome bars. That car has real individuality now, definately unique.

small update, on the weekend the guards were painted along the edges, and fitted, also painted reo bar and lower radiator support black to hide them a bit more

btw if anyone hasnt removed a vy/z side skirt before, they are the most pain in the ass thing ever, has about 8-10 platic clips the never come out the way they should, and basicly have to be destroyed to come out, who ever designed that type of clip should be shot,

oh and going in for paint of the the 19th

ha ha. I was under my ute the other day and i saw all of those plastic clips. Why would they use those stupid clips for the side skirt. I wonder if there is a more spastic type of clip available on earth
