VE S2 SSV Redline Wagon
Been on the site for a while now so I figure it's about time I made one of these. Here's my 2010 VE II SSV Redline Sportwagon. Still a long way from finished but it's blast on the road and track. More photos to come.

Engine and Transmission:
  • 1 7/8 4-1 Ceramic Coated Hurricane Headers
  • Stainless 3" Manta Catback with Centre Muffler (Cheers NAAF!)
  • OTR
  • Rip shifter
Power: 270rwkw (Hi-Torque Performance Gold Coast)

Suspension:
  • MCA Street Performance Coilovers
  • 10kg F/R Springs
Brakes:
  • Brembo 4 piston calipers, factory front and CTSV rear
  • DBA 4000 rotors, T3 front
  • Bremtec Evolve pads
  • Braided lines
Wheels and Tyres:
  • 20x10" Koya SF07 in Gloss GTR Grey
  • Offsets +35mm front, +40mm rear
  • Michelin PS4S 275/30r20 all round
  • All guards rolled (Precision Guard Rolling)
Coming soon... eventually... maybe...
  • Lower
  • Diff gears
  • Cam
  • Clutch (if needed)
  • Interior gauges
  • Exterior chrome wrapped black/grey
  • VFII HSV taillights
  • Number plate

Would like to go a bit lower but I'm occasionally scraping on the work driveway at this height. Need to look at re-fitting the headers/cats better if possible. Either that or get some air cups for the coilovers.

Got some nice shots from the last Queensland Raceway track day. Best time was a 1:03.7 on the sprint circuit. Was able to keep up with quite a few cars including an LS1 BMW and a VF GTS.

Lots of body roll even with stiffened coilover damping so I'm getting some superpro sway bars for next time.

Damaged the cat flange due to exhaust hanging too low. If the repair weld gives me some more clearance I might try lowering the front again. Would be nice if it looked like that all the time, not just under heavy braking...

I'd definitely get the sway bars in, I did control + caster arms, front and rear sway bars and adjustable links, all superpro, you'll straight away feel the difference.

Yep you're definitely right! Got superpro sway bars and bushings. Amazing difference on track and nicer around town too.

It feels like there's a bit less overall grip but it's so much more progressive. Before I was worried about suddenly losing traction but now I can comfortably push it right to the limit on every corner. Easier to drift too :D

Finally dropped the front by 20mm to help even out the height. Now just about touching speed bumps with the cats and no room left between tyre and spring seat. Happy with the looks but might have to raise it a touch for more camber on the track every now and then.

More photos too!

Mint wagon mate, funny how you put on bigger sway bars with the MCA coilovers when they recommend keeping the standard ones in, even shockworks recommended standard. Was told by both that it’ll be too much.

As for the cam I’ve got a kelford one in mine, highly recommend them super helpful guys for kiwis :p. Yours daily or weekender?
