My VH SL Wagon.

Hi everyone, this is my VH SL wagon. I bought it off eBay, full grandpa spec, 173, 4 speed with original interior and exterior.
I've always like VH's but a few mates have all got sedans so i decided to do a wagon. Something different. :thumbsup:
I'm going to replace the 173 and 4 speed for a VN headed carby fed 355 and full manual tri-matic.
It'll be getting mini tubbed and running a shortened VL borg warner diff. Got a set of Convo's for it as well.
I like the standard base model look to so it'll be staying standard looking on the inside and outside with the exception of the wheels.

My dad had one of these when growing up, we had tape on the glove box too lol..

Pulled the motor and box out to start on smoothing out the bay and pulled the interior as well to start on the tubs.

My mate got one of the tubs cut out and we got one of the wheels sitting under her just to check clearances.





Both tubs have been done since these photo's and now we have a diff length. Just gotta drop the diff off to get shortened.

Haha, yeh these were the first pic's i took of it. The glove box is fixed now. haha

Thanks guys, and yeh I'll keep the photos rolling in.
I've just moved into a new house so I'm tied up with that at the moment.
I've gotta go speak to the bank soon to see about building a shed out the back to house the toys but yeh I'll keep you all posted.
