Motor is a 308 with flat tops, 10:5.1 compression, big cam, Brock heads and manifold, modified quaddy and dizzy, 3000 stall, VL diff.
    200rwk.

I've intentionally left the engine bay looking factory. I don't know, I just like the look of factory with added performance. Interior is original.
The obvious non original items are the V5 Simmons, but i still have the SLE's wheels.

I've owned quite a few SLE's in my time but this is certainly my favourite :)

    absolutely LOVE it mate
The V5 Simmons are the perfect choice, glad you haven't ruined it with Tonka toy wheels

I love how you have kept everything original looking, yet has no shortage of power
Well done, one of the best I've seen

Very nice, love the standard engine bay and the choice of wheels. Have you ever considered colour coding the Simmons Mercury Silver to match the bottom half of the car?

It sits really nicely too, what springs/shocks have you got in it?

Damn, that looks tops ;) Will look through my collection, may have an unmolested passenger side quarter vent here :) This wasnt the red one from the southern highlands? It had the same rims and some other matching features..

No, bought it from Melbourne. It had the SLE wheels on it but I had my own Simmons and put them on instead.
Yeah, the quarter vents both are held in by screw. Trying to find some on Ebay :)

Really nice, great choice of wheels, I have V5 Simmons on my VH too. Have you ever considered colour coding them Mercury Silver to match the bottom half of the car?

Probably look better with the silver centre mesh instead of the gold, but wanted to try something different.
The springs are King superlow front and back with shortened KYB shocks.

actually I reckon I prefer the gold simmons
silver might look a bit bland IMO

Gold really looks good against the colour. If I had to choose, I'd go the gold as well

    That's me mate!

I haven't been on any holiday in my entire life. I'm 36 years old and haven't even been interstate. I decided that I would like to go overseas and funds would've been needed to go hence the sale on ebay. That lasted 1 day as i just couldn't bear to see this go after so much work lol.
Who knows, perhaps the bottled up urge to leave will overcome the desire to keep the car...one day.

The cam is a Camtech custom grind- Hydraulic 237@50-524 lift-108 LSA.

    Appreciate the comments fellas.

so your the man who was selling it. was excited when i saw it come up, not that i can afford another one. going to pick up an injected motor for my old girl tomorrow and strip it down for a rebuild to carby spec. i have vl heads and brock inlet waiting for the rebuild. just havent decided on cam yet but still want to be ablt to use standard auto setup. i want to save my original motor aswell, would hate to destroy it. nice work, would hope to see it around some day.
    cheers jc
