Ok today i have put together a small Powdercoating Process for those interested in seeing how its done @ my work here on the Sunshine Coast.. this thread is also in the Pub section from the main page.

Rocker cover off my spare Donk Rb30.

    Me Blasting the Cover
    [IMG]

    Blasted
    [IMG]

Now before you ask i have put this cover in the bucket of ACID as i did not want to contaminate my tanks of oil
    [IMG]

Hung up dry and ready to be Painted
    [IMG]

Painting Process is an electrostatic coating gun and the color i have used is BLAZE BLUE GLOSS from dulux.

Painted ready for the bake process in the oven
    [IMG]

Hung in oven all good to go

Oven up to temp at 200 Degrees. Bake timer starts at 185 and goes for 15 minutes
whole oven time takes 45 mins.

Oven has finished its process and this pic was taken with the ovens air temp at 198degrees.. great for cold mornings :p
    [IMG]

Boompa....finished product cooled and ready to go on my Engine now :p
    [IMG]

Thankyou for having a look and hope this has answered some questions on how powdercoating is done...

    Cheers guys....

depends on how much prep work is needed.. Blasting Times, degreasing......
if u can degrease it as much as u can inside under the plates where blow-by is stuck etc i should be able to do it for a good price... would be good to go of a dulux color chart to pick a color. make sure it is powdercoating colors..
    Cheers man

Righto so weekend just gone, i chilled at Lazza78's house and we did some minimal things on his Calais and my L, plenty grog was sunk and swearing took place and i managed to score Turbo Intake runners and Turbo plenum from Lazza (cheers man)now as well all know parts sitting around the shed get filthy so i took them into work today and gave them a sandblast ready to go on my donk. Pics tell the story.
