hmm weird..
i would not think the turbo would be doing anything.
how about your fuel pump fuses and Relays.
did u say u cant hear it running now or priming???
you can take off the fuel feed hose in the engine bay and put it in a bottle and see if it pumps fuel into bottle.
a way of determining if its fuel pumps..
if u get fuel its something else like ignition. controlled by ECU/CAS/COIL/LEADS/PLUGS/DIZZY/POWER TRANSISTOR.
basically process of elimination.
try unplugging your AFM and then start the car.
if it starts and idles but stalls as soon as you hit the throttle its the AFM with the problem

the standard fuel reg vacuum hose got removed and got replaced and extended for an external fuel reg due to turbo.... there is only one vacuum hose that i know of unless you can tell me otherwise....

u may have installed a new cas, but if took out the dizzy to do this, maybe the timing is out...set it again n c if it fires.

it can be done without a gun, u just have to take the rocker cover off.. a repair books say alot...

i don't have a repair book....

Does the old pump still work?

Pop that one back in and see if it starts.

and you removed the right hose not the fuel retun line. i think its the top hose of the 2..

is the pump hooked up correctly as in terminals. Pos and Neg
what about the relay plug seat the connector it connects to.
have a look under them to see if its not pushing a spade connecter out of the plug.
as well as no corroded wires going in to the plug.
have a good look.
i have seen this on a relay plug b4.. the relay was good but the wires crimped in to spade connectors were corroded.
goodluck

could the fuel lines going up to the fuel reg from the pump be blocked or maybe the filter would that stop the fuel pump from running....
