I figured that it was time for a update as a lot of work has been done since the last time.
So the new body has been stripped and the engine has been removed. Had to cut the exhaust in half as when it was installed it was welded in the middle with no way of disconnecting it

The engine that has been removed is going to be the spare, just in case I need parts for the other one. Some one has paint the rocker cover, which loojs like crap if you ask me.

Now that I have taken all the glass out im happy that there is only a little rust around the front window and none around the back

And as you can see Ive started to prime the inside of the car as well. The old body still had its factory paint code in it and had a can made up so I could see what it looked like. Im very happy with how it turned out

And with all the engine and gearbox supports out, Ive cleaned them up ready to paint.

At the moment Im looking for some part off newer commodores for the interior like lights and a mirror.
Its been a busy couple of weeks so hopefully more to report after Christmas.

Small update

Only a small update this time. I have primed most of the engine bay and part of the interior.

I was looking at the vin plates for both cars and they are very different.

The one on the left belongs to the berlina parts car and the right belongs to the GTS that I am rebuilding. There is a lot of information missing from GTS one.

Prepped a few more parts ready to refit: front bumper mounts, accelerator pedal and front anti sway bar off the GTS, which has been replaced with a larger than factory one.

With some more body prep and thats about it

Just bought some more parts:
- Adjustable pan rod
- S/W gas struts for the bonnet
- and a set of AU fans to replace the clutch fan.
