Updated: 20/11/07 since everyone else has their own thread i though i was as well have one too recently bought this for $1400, its done quite alot of k's (283000). the only mods I've done to it is the stereo and I've got a growing list of things to do to it. this is my first car that i actually own, previously drove my parents 87 corolla all the time, so this is basically my second car. currently immobile and stuck on my driveway due to a seize fuel pump which left me stranded in a Mc Donald's carpark, when i got home i realise i could have kicked the fuel tank and driven it home. 1989 VN Commodore Executive 3.8L V6 with 4 Speed Auto 2.5" Exhaust from manifold to coby then onto factory muffler ( i think ) after market springs (unsure to what type) Pod filter Pioneer DEH-P4950MP -Head Clarion 6x9 -Rears Sony 4" -fronts Sony 600w amp Pioneer TS-W306C Sub With VR\VS speaker pod modification for 6" fronts 225 50R 16 Bridgestone Potenza G3 Tyres on front, god knows on back. nice ride, those are clubsport rims that have been polished. not replicas by the looks of them either. looks like you still got the original ignition leads on there. give her a full service, you'll be amazed how much better they run.
shes had the coil/leads/ignitor replaced before i bought it. the guy said he got the holden sticker on the window for like $15NZD, its like an etched sticker.
she looks tidy under the bonnet, shame about the relay/fuse panel lid, time to go to the wreckers to get another one. i had considered getting a holden sticker accross the windsreen but i thing it would be a bit much on a white car
You should have got a v8, those wheels could also be PCW 16's as they are Similar to the clubie's. nice car by the way.
apart from the badging, that looks exactly like a berlina. same interior, same exterior door trims, electric antenna. weird
the NZ executive is the equivalent of a AUS berlena. they got mixed up somewhere. whats a level 2 cluster?
do u mean calais? yeh digital dashes look great i want one aswell but i need to do other things first anyways welcome to the site and take care of her and she will look afta you ofcoarse with a car of that age ur going to have to replace a few things but thats just normal hope to see the mods comming good work mate justin
cheers man. got a couple of ideas for mods but ill have to get her back on the road first. fuel pump on monday hopefully
Just gave her a bath, also got the mods made in most of the photos. bonnet pins are on there for a reason, didnt really want them but beats having the bonnet fly up.
installed the HSV Letterbox grille i got for $50, last night. was white and painted it grey, doesnt look too bad since i painted it
Nice first ride man. That object hanging from the rear view mirror... radar scanner thing.. forgot precisely what it's called. But yeah. She looks nice.
